Mass Effect 4: 10 Core Gameplay Tweaks That Would Improve Everything
8. Different Enemy Types That Force You To Adapt
Building on the idea of using your powers in specific ways, there's plenty scope to create enemy types that'll actively not go down until you employ some specific tactics. This is one thing Destiny got spectacularly wrong, as nearly all the bosses in that game are literal bullet-sponges, staring you down and trading fire until a war of attrition finally defeats either you or them. For Mass Effect there's so many powers to choose from, and factoring in your class ability into combat would work a treat too. Why not have hulking mechs that if your power is stealth, must be cloak-stabbed to take out? Or for the Vanguards, use the Biotic charge to trigger a stagger animation that you'll then have to command your team to finish off? Considering the wealth of options available to you in combat, Bioware haven't even begun to scratch away at the surface of how to apply them.
