8. Emotional Romance
Every Mass Effect game can consider romance a major positive, with the relationships involving Liara and Garrus in particular being some of the best romantic stories in video game history.
With only a couple exceptions (Jacob) you would get something meaningful regardless of the person or people you engaged with romantically in the series. There is always room for improvement however, with more options within each relationship and more explicitly romantic encounters being something to take on board for the future.
Andromeda’s strengths came from more casual interactions with the crew that built up long term romances in a satisfying way, but it needed the final romance before the final mission instead of triggering it earlier.
Having different moments for reaching true love in the main game and a moment before the final destination would be a good way to make some little improvements!
Making sure that romances between non-crew members and queer relationships are as developed as the ones between the heterosexual members of your ship is also fundamental. Romance is so important to the series and it can keep improving even more.
