Mass Effect 4: 12 Brand New Features You Need To Know About

6. New Enemy 'Khet' Give You Outposts To Conquer

Speaking of single-player missions, one of the new antagonistic forces in Helius are the Khet; referred to in the online doc as operating in "deadly patrols".

They'll appear in optional wave-based outposts most likely inspired by the best parts of Far Cry 3/4; that being the idea of enemy encampments dotted around the map that you clear up in between the main missions. Little is known about the Khet themselves, but the leak makes a point to mention these interactions are just like Gears of War's Horde mode in their approach, chucking out some varied rewards based on how long you can last.

Not only will you get XP and other items, but being able to say that you're the one who survived many waves of these guys opens up more options in conversation afterwards, alongside gaining favour with certain allies depending on who or what they are.
