Mass Effect 4 Andromeda: 10 Things We Need To See At E3 2016
7. The RPG System
Given the fact that Mass Effect is first and foremost an RPG, leveling up and customization has long been a notable part of the overall experience. While the first game was somewhat clunky in its execution, subsequent games streamlined and simplified the RPG elements in order to appeal to a wider audience, to varying degrees of success. While certain changes were clearly for the better, some of the simplification proved an annoyance for hardcore RPG enthusiasts.
Andromeda is expected to be continue down this path; merging RPG elements with immersive gameplay, and considering how long its been since the last game, it is also expected to be better than it was before, lest fans be left disappointed. E3 should be used as an opportunity for Bioware to give us a brief overview of Andromeda's RPG system, how it works in tandem with the combat and character creation, and how it has evolved over the last 4 years, hopefully for the better.
All tis is to say that a peak into the ways you can customize your character's looks and abilities through the RPG system would be a delightful surprise and give fans valuable insight into how Andromeda plays. Its not like there isnt precedence for this sort of demonstration, and it would reassure long time supporters that the Mass Effect they fell in love with is still kicking and worth getting hyped about.
