Mass Effect 5: 10 Fan Demands We Need To See

7. Ditch The Resource Gathering

Even though fans have complained about resource gathering in Mass Effect since the second game, instead of admitting defeat and coming up with a new system Bioware has attempted to iterate on the idea with each new sequel, somehow making it worse every single time.

Andromeda's resource gathering and crafting system in particular was horrible, being a convoluted mess and never properly communicating to the player what they needed to do to craft the game's best weapons and armour.

Seemingly every new video game these days has to have a crafting system that works this way, and so Mass Effect 5 would actually be going against the grain by dropping it altogether.

There's no reason why finding the best weapons and items in-game is any less enjoyable than spending hours collecting the resources to make them, and if anything it would improve a player's desire to explore if there might be an exotic new weapon waiting for them at the end of the tunnel.
