Mass Effect Andromeda: 10 Impressions From The First 10 Hours

7. Multiplayer Is Fun, But Familiar

The multiplayer mode can serve as a refreshing reprieve from the single-player, serving up a Horde-style co-op loop in which 4 players can team up to take on wave after wave of enemies until they're able to extract.

With Andromeda's faster style of gunplay, the multiplayer feels even more urgent than in ME3, and while the enemy hordes are fairly repetitive for the most part, it's still ultimately a satisfying experience that's likely to have many fans back for hours on end.

It's a shame, though, that BioWare didn't decide to go a little more ambitious with their multiplayer suite and actually introduce PVP elements. Yes, it would potentially create huge balancing issues, but limiting multiplayer to just Horde mode seems a little on the lazy side, to be quite honest.
