9. Melee Weapons Are A Key Part Of Combat
Many of Bioware's devs are letting more interesting things fly on Twitter than anywhere else, with lead designer Ian Frazier noting that melee weapons and how we equip them will be drastically different in Andromeda.
In the other Mass Effect games, the only options we had were either a basic elbow attack or the more instant-killing Omniblade stab. Here, you'll get to craft a variety of weapons, resulting in Omniblade upgrades, "Krogan-style hammers" and even "space swords".
Frazier noted that there are "endless possibilities", and to encourage melee-based play, you'll be given a dedicated inventory slot, rather than have these weapons take up a rifle or pistol allotment.
