Mass Effect: Ranking The Characters From Worst To Best

4. Legion

Legion is a fantastic character. For a non-organic life form, it has one of the largest personalities in the game, and like EDI, there are times that it almost appears human.

Legion's story arc is also great. It's almost too perfect that he uses Shepard's N7 armour to repair himself - it feels like it's using it in honour of Shepard, even though Shepard destroyed their deity. His "human" characteristics surface when questioned about it as well - he becomes very evasive if asked about it, suggesting that using Shepard's armour was an emotional decision, rather than a calculated, robotic one.

However, Legion's crowning moment is on Rannoch. Sacrificing itself in order to upgrade the Geth and help Shepard overcome the Reapers, gaining sentience as an individual rather than a collective in the process, and his goodbye to Tali - those scenes had fans, as well as the Quarian, in tears.

A true hero, and an iconic member of the squad, it's just a shame Legion was introduced so late in ME2 - but this unit does indeed have a soul.

Matty Coxhill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
