Mass Effect: Ranking The Characters From Worst To Best
3. Mordin Solus
The Salarians are given probably less screen time than they deserve, sondiering how important they are and the prevalence of Turians and Asari in the games. Mordin more than makes up for it, though - his storyline and character progression are both awesome.
Mordin's redemption is one of the best arcs across the whole trilogy. He's initially confident in the scientific reasoning behind his creation and defence of the genophage's necessity, but he slowly comes to doubt himself through interactions with Grunt and the other Krogan on Tuchanka - it's really interesting to see his emotions take over from logic.
His realisation that he had made a mistake about the genophage, and his ultimate sacrifice to put it right is one of the most iconic scenes in the game, and another bittersweet moment to add to the pile. And hey - his singing wasn't half bad either. Gilbert and Sullivan would be proud.
