3. VR Missions
Ah yes, VR missions, a staple of the Metal Gear Solid franchise that, to my sadness, for some reason did not feature in MGS4, apparently content that the game's overall epicness meant we wouldn't even notice. Nice try, but not quite. Anyway, Revengeance brings those classic missions surging back with a new aesthetic, allowing you to better get to grips with the thornier, trickier aspects of controlling Raiden. I recommend giving these ago if only to adjust to the somewhat beguiling camera and control system that does prove a little cumbersome for the first half hour-or-so of play. Furthermore, given how short the campaign is, these missions do add a little value to the game, even if many will be keen to ignore then completely. If you wait until you've finished the campaign to have a go, you'll rinse them in no time, but they are still fun nonetheless.
