Metal Gear Solid: 16 Mind-Blowing Easter Eggs You Totally Missed
4. The Developers Themselves Are Easter Eggs In Multiple MGS Games
This is one that many gamers were justifiably freaked out by back in the 90s, as we never knew what was going on - remember, this was an internet and social media-deprived world, after all. Anyway, Kojima had the great idea of putting his development team into the game - including himself - but not in anything too obvious. Instead, once you get hands on with the camera, snapping different parts of the scenery will make ghostly apparitions like the above manifest into view when you review the images. Hideo can be found next to his Policenauts poster in Otacon's office, whilst others appear next to parts of the world geometry they collaborated on. It's a fantastic little way of making sure those responsible for bringing everything to life are immortalised accordingly; a tact Sonic's original developers did by hiding that game's credits - and something Kojima would repeat in MGS 4, modelling the team's hand-prints in a mould you can find in the Mountain Trail Riverside after the first boss.
