3. The Patriots/Big Boss Fight Begins
After waking up from a coma and finding out that his former organisation has betrayed him, stolen his DNA and created clones in order to achieve their increasingly warped goals, the Phantom Pain should without a doubt explore how Big Boss begins his fight against the Patriots and eventually starts Outer Heaven, his mercenary force to combat against the Patriots. This would eventually lead to a young Solid Snake - Big Boss' own cloned son - being sent in by what would seem to be the Patriots to end the life of Big Boss. But how did the concept of Outer Heaven eventually come around? There's got to be a big clash between the Patriots and Big Boss coming, particularly as an 'organisation that doesn't exist' were coming to kill Big Boss just before he woke from a coma. Given our knowledge of the Patriots and their penchant for lies, this seems to state that the Patriots factor into the Phantom Pain in several ways.
