Metal Gear Solid V: 11 Hidden Secrets You Totally Missed

9. The Hidden 'Demon Meter'

Remember the launch trailer for MGS V, and how it showed a degrading Big Boss go from soldier through to essentially a fleshy-skeleton? It looked like you were turning into Skullface, yet in the full game, it appeared this cutscene was nowhere to be seen. Actually, it still isn't - but in a pure gameplay sense, there is a hidden 'Demon Meter' that fills up and slowly extends the horn protruding out your head, until it's about three-times its original size.
You trigger this by essentially indulging in the most nefarious acts you can think of; shooting animals, butchering soldiers, critically wounding your own buddies and so on. There's a full breakdown of what accrues the secret 'Demon Points' available online, but if you eventually get 50,000 you'll get a blood-soaked skin that can't be removed no matter how much you shower.
