7. Is Eli Liquid Snake?

Apparently a huge portion of MGS V's story is going to deal with child soldiers, what it means to be militarised from a young age, and how that ties into the larger 'choose your own destiny'-style traits the series is known for. Now, at this point the 'Is Eli Liquid?' stuff is pretty much confirmed - in as much as fans have translated the letters on the back of his jacket into 'Liquid People', before Kojima himself retweeted some fan-art showing Eli and then Liquid in subsequent shots. However, as the title of this article implies, we don't know for certain - and if this is the case, then where the hell is Solid? We know that Solid Snake has to train or at least meet up with Big Boss at some point in the canon, and as we're not getting any more instalments after this - plus the fact the story could easily take place at multiple points in history - maybe we're going to see Eli slowly grow into a young Liquid, showing us how their own tumultuous relationship developed into the hatred seen in MGS 1.
