Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - 11 Easter Eggs True Fans Will Love

7. Don't Fight It

Here we have a reference that isn't directly related to Metal Gear Solid, but Kiefer Sutherland and his iconic portrayal of legendary television bad*ss Jack Bauer. It's also worth noting that you should probably have subtitles on if you want to truly notice the Easter Egg for yourself. They're enabled by default, but if you toggled them off you can simply turn them back on. The first objective in Ground Zeroes tasks Snake with locating his captured comrade Chico, and considering that the story portion is fairly short, this won't take long. After locating a shell-shocked Chico in a camp, the game will enter a cinematic of Snake trying to quiet him. Due to all the noise this makes, Snake is left with no choice but to place his hand over Chico's throat, trying to force him unconscious. It's recommended to have subtitles on as this can only be heard very faintly, but during the struggle Snake whispers "Don't fight it" which is a common phrase uttered by Jack Bauer in similar situations on 24.
