Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain - 12 Crucial Tips & Tricks You Need To Know

5. Put Staff Into Support For Faster Pickup

As mentioned earlier, it can be pretty bewildering trying to get a handle on exactly where your men should go, especially when you're finding your footing and haven't developed a playstyle just yet. That's why - in the beginning more than anywhere else, when you're being spotted and have to gun n' grenade your way out of a skirmish-gone-wrong - you want to put more staff than usual primarily into Support. It may be tempting to plunder R&D for all its worth in the hope of unlocking some super-secret gun or clothing set, but when it comes to Snake getting his horn shot off in the middle of the battlefield, you wanna be able to rely on that 'Call Support' option in the iDroid as something that'll come within at most a couple of minutes. Also - and perhaps this is just a coincidence - but I've called the chopper in to save me from enemy gunships multiple times and it's always won, blasting the opponent out the sky, something I'm attributing to having such a strong Support team, but if that's not the case please sound off in the comments below.
