Metal Gear Solid V: Ranking The Missions From Worst To Best

8. Blood Runs Deep (Episode 18)

Overview: Eliminate the six rebel Mbele soldiers taken prisoner by the ruling Buta tribe, to ensure they cannot talk. The first and best of the child soldier missions in the game, Blood Runs Deep delivers the twist that the five prisoners being held at the Mine are actually children, and you're going to have to evacuate them one-by-one. The rest of the mission involves Snake leading the kids to the LZ, requiring Snake to run ahead and neutralise the enemy while issuing orders for when the kids can run forward. When you make it to the LZ, there's added hassle as you have to load the kids onto the chopper one-by-one, so make sure you've cleared out any enemies on your tail first. Still, it's an unexpected surprise when you show up at that cell and are greeted by children, and their bemused faces when you get them to Mother Base are priceless.
