Metal Gear Solid V: What We Learned From The E3 Trailer

Kiefer Sutherland Is Snake

I want to close this article with a couple of thoughts about the decision of changing the voice actor for Snake. First and foremost, as a fan I couldn't be happier that an actor like Kiefer Sutherland is now taking the role as Snake. At first I was quite surprised to see that he'll do the voice of the character in this game, but after thinking about it for a while I really liked the actor they chose for the role. From what I've heard in the trailers he's done a good job. However I can't help but think that this doesn't mean that David Hayter won't come back as Snake at some point. After all a remake of the first 2 Metal Gear games sounds like a reasonable thing to do, and truth be told it would be weird to see the same voice actor doing two different characters at the same time. It would be like Jack and Jill, except with political issues. Let's not forget that Kojima gave a solid reason why he chose to change the voice actor at this point, and perhaps this could mean that we could see him in a sequel in the future. Hell, he might just return for a small after credits scene introducing himself to Big Boss. But, back to the point I guess Kiefer is doing a good job as Snake so far. I wish the best of luck to Kiefer on this, I hope he can fill the space that Hayter left. Let's hope he does my friends, let's hope for the best.
