Microsoft & Bethesda E3 2021 Showcase: 8 Ups & 4 Downs
1. The Disappointing No-Shows
Though Microsoft showed off a staggering 30 games during their 90-minute showcase, there were a few long-awaited games that were conspicuously absent.
The likes of Fable, Perfect Dark, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Avowed, and most optimistically The Elder Scrolls VI, were all no-shows despite having been previously revealed.
Industry rumours suggest that most of these games are still a long way off from being released - possibly as late as 2023 - so it'd make sense that they simply didn't have any significantly polished gameplay footage to show off, even if it meant that Microsoft's showcase felt far from "complete."
This is of course the flip-side of Microsoft announcing games early in an attempt to plant their flag and assure fans that this generation won't be a repeat of the Xbox One's exclusives-scarce generation.
But these issues aside, Microsoft and Bethesda got a lot right with their E3 presentation this year. Here's what worked...
