Monster Hunter 4: 8 Crucial Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

4. Use Mosswine Jerky To Stop Bleeding

Bleeding is perhaps one of the most annoying status effects in MH4U and the delightful chap above seems to know this, which is why he flings his skin-piercing scales at you at any given opportunity. It's difficult to treat as moving suddenly will cause you to lose health very rapidly. Sitting still for a few seconds will cure it, but it'll also have the unwanted side-effect of a Sergios to the face if you're unable to limp away to a different area. The first time you encounter Sergios, the Guildarm points out that munching on a well-done steak will immediately cure bleeding (in your face, vegetarians!). While this is sound advice, the Mosswine Jerky is a far better choice as it replenishes the red portion of your life meter on top of curbing your blood loss. It's also more convenient as it can be bought from shops, while the steak has to be cooked to perfection. There's literally no downside, so it may be time to embrace the power of the jerky.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
