Mortal Kombat 1 DLC: 10 Guest Characters We Need To See

Thus far, all the horror characters featured in the Mortal Kombat series have been villains. But, not every famous horror icon is a bad guy, and the beloved Ash Williams is a perfect example. So, maybe it's time that MK got "groovy!"

The face of the Evil Dead franchise is no stranger to bloody battles. His war with the Deadites has led to plenty of gore, and he's gotten very adept at fighting monsters. Let's be honest, a chainsaw hand would make for a fine MK weapon.

Now, fans have already had their hearts broken with this once before, as many speculated that Ash was going to appear in MK11. This was evidenced by references to the character in teaser trailers, like the sound of a chainsaw at the end of the Shang Tsung gameplay trailer.

Tragically, these teases would be nothing but that, as players were left Ash-less. Of course, while gamers would love to see him in MK1, it is still doubtful.

The actor behind Ash, Bruce Campbell, has stated in an interview with The A.V. Club that he doesn't want the character to appear in the Mortal Kombat Universe. He alleges that he is not interested in "loaning Ash out."

That sucks for sure, but fans can still dream, especially since support for the Evil Dead game just came to an end.
