Mortal Kombat 10: 10 Awesome Game Modes That Must Return
6. Endurance Mode
Besides a hackneyed motion control system, the Wii port of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon also added an endurance mode which was exclusive to Nintendo's console. It's been done before to some extent, and elements of this demanding game mode were included in future releases, but Armageddon's stand-alone Endurance Mode was the most complete realization of the concept we've seen within the MK franchise. Some might argue that, given the wealth of gameplay options already stuffed into recent Mortal Kombat releases, an Endurance Mode would be superfluous. Indeed, if NetherRealm were to lift the mode directly from MK: Armageddon unaltered, it might be lost under the weight of the more substantial ways to play. With a minor reworking - throw in a host of unlockable features, challenging progress gates, and rewards to motivate continued effort - an Endurance Mode could become an essential part of Mortal Kombat 10's single-player arsenal.
Game-obsessed since the moment I could twiddle both thumbs independently. Equally enthralled by all the genres of music that your parents warned you about.
