Mortal Kombat 10: 10 Things We Want To See

7. Many Happy Returns

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8qLjpTpqJo One thing that saddened a lot of fans in MK9 was the decimation of nearly every single hero and heroine. At the end of the story mode, only Raiden, Sonya, and Johnny Cage survived Shao Kahn's invasion while Smoke, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Nightwolf, Kitana, Liu Kang, Jax, Jade, Kabal, and Stryker all met their maker (along with Sindel, Motaro, and Shang Tsung). As has been proven many times before, death is never final in the MK Universe, so naturally some resurrections need to take place, especially when you take into consideration how popular some characters such as Kitana, Liu Kang and Sub-Zero are among fans and casual gamers alike. Most people in the MK Universe tend to make their way to the Netherrealm upon their death, so resurrections and rebirths can easily be explained and written into the story to accommodate for certain returns. While on the topic of returns, Tanya, Frost, and Bo Rai Cho all had cameos in MK9, with the latter two showing up during one of Cyber Sub-Zero's data scans and the former being shown shackled up in Shao Kahn's arena. Fans were disappointed to find that those three wouldn't be DLC fighters, leaving room to wonder if they would be showing up in a game further down the road. Along with those three fighters, fans have also shown interest in the return of Li Mei, the eventual Dragon Queen Ashrah, and the God of Wind Fujin.
