Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Reasons It's NetherRealm's Best Game Ever
6. The Best Gore Of The Series
When people who don't play video games think of MK, one of the things that come to mind are the fatalities. What started as a fun way to dispatch your opponent at the end of a match has become a staple of the series, and they've gotten more elaborate as the games progressed.
MK11 took the gore to a whole other level. Fatalities have been given a smooth slow motion effect which allow players to view the gory carnage in all its glory. The improved visuals also add a lot to the violence. Eyes pulsate, intestines flop to the ground, and bones shatter, all in the best graphics NetherRealm have produced.
The new attacks, fatal blows and krushing blows, are also fantastic. Krushing blows replace the x-ray attack from the previous two games, all while providing both new strategic options and quality gore. There is something so satisfying about knocking your opponent's teeth out with an upper-cut krushing blow, even after the thousandth time.
Fatal blows are also great, functioning like ultra violent versions of Injustice 2's supermoves, and the requirement to use them creates an interesting new meta at the end of matches.
