Mortal Kombat 11: 9 Neglected Characters That Must Return

Having flip-flopped from fighting the good fight to serving nefarious evildoing clans more times than anyone can care to count makes Kabal one of the series' more interesting, if not convoluted, characters and yet, despite that, NetherRealm opted to give the hook sword-wielding combatant nary but a fleeting cameo in 2015's star-studded show.

It's an unfair dismissal, given that, among Mortal Kombat's extensive cast, Kabal's playstyle is one of the most unique - Raging Flash will forever be one of the most iconic gap-closers in fighting game history - and relegating him to being part of a split-second identity parade as one of Quan Chi's mindless puppets is doing him and his adorers a disservice.

At Mortal Kombat X's climax, Kabal remained enthralled by the dark magic of Shinnok's servant, but there's no reason he can't be returned to his former self (as Jax was) with a little help from Raiden.
