Status: Seen in roster menu during available gameplay & story scenes.

The other half of the Shaolin Monks power team with Kung Lao, Liu Kang is seen during MK 11's story footage as his far younger self.

Fans will remember NetherRealm killing off Liu Kang after Shang Tsung and Quan Chi teamed up in MK Deadly Alliance, only to bring him back as a zombie in various MK instalments of the 2000s, but following 2011's timeline reset in MK 9, we have an older Liu back, fighting fit once again.

It's assumed that these legendary original heroes will meet their younger selves across the story, and as a Liu Kang main, I can't wait to see what they do with his moveset and overall abilities.
