13. Shinnok

Status: Officially confirmed, playable TBC.

Playable in Mortal Kombat 10 after clocking the story mode, Shinnok quickly became a fan favourite for his ludicrously OTT fatalities and Imposter variation, focusing heavily on deception and literally messing around with your opponent.

Obviously you're likely noticing Shinnok has been reduced to a severed head, though being a fallen Elder God its implied he can't die altogether, instead being reduced to a mumbling, braindead version of his former self.

In MK11's opening cutscene we see Raiden leave his head on a slab in the same chamber he was defeated in, but that's before newcomer Kronika appears, and likely does something to "restore order".

That's assuming the fabric of the MK-verse needs a Shinnok, anyway.
