7. Scorpion

The other main character headlining that first reveal trailer, it was never in doubt that Scorpion was going to be playable in Mortal Kombat 11. The demonic ninja has been synonymous with the franchise ever since its conception, though it's unclear at the moment how much he's going to factor into the story.

What we do know, however, is that he's going to be one of the characters who benefits the most from the new customisation options. With the time travel element in mind, it looks as though the developers are going to be finding an in-universe way to bring back classic costumes for fighters to wear, alongside the incredible new variations the designers have come up with.

Based on the gameplay shown off so far, Scorpion looks deadlier than he's ever been, with his different variations being a love letter to fans past and present.
