Mortal Kombat 11: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
13. Skarlet
In so many ways, MK 11 feels like a fresh reimagining and recontextualisation of almost all its female leads. Some are given families, important leadership roles - some it's just good to see them do anything outside of being eye-candy.
Scarlet then, always had a great core power (that of wielding blood), but until MK 11, NetherRealm played this up as something to be fetishised. She'd slice people open and bathe in the ensuing viscera, whereas now we've got a Scarlet who surgically takes opponents apart with blood scythes, daggers, balls of the red stuff and everything in between.
She's initially quite a complex character to get your head around, as you'll need to constantly be exploring her moveset to chain things together, but once it all clicks, Skarlet can be one of the most rewarding kombatants in the whole game.
