Loot-wise, NetherRealm give you a handful of skins and colour combinations that pay tribute to their almost three decade-long history. Letting you swap out Scorpion's spear tips alongside his swords and mask was a stroke of genius.

The devs clearly had a blast experimenting with thousands of different customisable elements for their flagship character, and it's paid off in every respect.
