7. The Joker
In the year 2008, the universally-acclaimed masterpiece known as The Dark Knight hit theatres. This was also this same year Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe hit store shelves - both featuring a tonally boisterous, yet maniacal iteration of the Clown Prince of Crime. But it wouldn't be until 2020 that we saw the Joker at the height of his sadistically gratuitous nature with his second foray into Earth-realm's most notorious tournament.
The uninvited Gothamite slices his way through the competition whilst showing his abrasively unhinged side in its utmost multitude of gory glory.
Brutality isn't the only thing that Netherrealm have supplied him with though; as his move set is so finely tuned that it may genuinely take a nation of millions to hold back the public enemy in question.
His diabolical plethora of origin inspired moves - in collaboration with a variety of unique implications (such as the manifestation of mockery that is the cleverly named "HarleQuinn of hate") give The Joker a sinister edge over his undoubtedly less malicious counterparts.
