Mortal Kombat 11: Ranking The ENTIRE Roster From Worst To Best
8. Scorpion
Put the pitchforks away for a minute! There is a reasonable explanation as to why Scorpion occupies this unflattering spot.
Scorpion; for all that he’s worth, is an iconic pop culture phenomenon. Exemplified by his synonymous catchphrase (“Get over here!”) being the cornerstone that even non-fans of the series will rejoice in saying time and time again; it’s been referenced to death but for good reason.
Fame and familiarity can't save Scorpion's prerogative this time around though. His design is stylistic; adhering to what we expect to see, but this is the first link in a chain reaction that ultimately traps the character in a cycle of rinse and repeat.
His innovation feels dormant; his moveset a copy and paste job from prior titles, and the most offensive component of incoherence is that the character's personal storyline is a rehash of what we already know.
On the other side of the spectrum his saving grace is a trend that remains distinctive to Scorpion. An absolute dream to control for players both new to the franchise and those stepping into the Hell-bearer's boots for their first time.
