Mortal Kombat 11 Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs
4. Awesome Customisable Movesets
So, in Mortal Kombat 11, one of the biggest new focuses is customisation. Carried across from Injustice 2, here we have the same separation of each character’s weapons, key armaments or skins, spread across a loot grind.
You can switch up your character’s specific abilities outside of this too – gone is the “three styles per fighter” setup of MK 10, and in is a baseline moveset including the majority of our favourites from over the years, that you can expand across three additional slots.
Want a Jax that focuses in wrestling moves, a Kung Lao with more expansive teleport combos or a Liu Kang that specialises in fireballs? Get to customising.
This is the only part of the customisation side of the game that’s grind free, as it should be, but the fact you can only decide on your moves inside the main menu Kustomisation option, feels like a massive missed opportunity.
