Mortal Kombat: EVERY Game Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 has so many features, it's clear the developers are doing all they can to please everyone. It has top-notch fighting mechanics, an expansive tutorial, a well-balanced roster, diverse online options, seemingly infinite Easter eggs, and preposterously gruesome Fatalities. There is so much to unlock, you can play for a year and still not find everything.

Although some people were disappointed by the villain, Kronika, it was nice not have a generically evil baddie for once.

Sadly, the smallest glitch can ruin the experience and MK11 is rife with them. While you're trying to get invested in the story, the dialogue doesn't always sync up or you may lose Internet connection, causing you to lose some progress. The grinding required to open the chests in The Krypt is so unreasonable, it feels like a chore. Because unlockables are often random, it's usually not even worth it.

That's not to say the development of MK11 was lazy. The expansion, Aftermath, could have been a simple add-on but instead, NetherRealm created new finishing moves and dialogue for every single character.

It may not be perfect, but the latest entry offers more than any other game in the series by a mile.
