This one is iffy, but one shot appears to show a black portal with a dark Sub-Zero-looking figure emerging. This makes it likely that Bi Han will meet his end in the film, and become the ghostly Noob Saibot as he becomes in the games.

Bi Han died by Scorpion's hand after the latter was resurrected into the fire spectre he's known as, allowing necromancer Quan Chi to take control of Bi Han's soul and turn him into the dark spirit known as Noob Saibot.

He's known - and loved/hated by players - for his teleporting attacks, allowing him to fall into a portal and attack from any angle.

This could lead to an interesting throwdown should it actually turn out to be Saibot, and would also allow the new Sub-Zero Kuai Liang to take the mantle. It might not be official, but this shot does seem to suggest Bi Han will die and in his place will stand the black ghost of the man he once was.
