5. Outworld, NetherRealm & Shao Kahn

Praise to McQuoid and the team just going with what works.

This version of Shao Kahn - VERY much taken from the latest incarnation in Mortal Kombat 11 - couldn't be more perfect. Better still, Kahn's statue certainly doesn't look like it exists on Earth, and instead I'd wager this is a look at Outworld.

Another realm where Shao Kahn reigns supreme, Outworld also seems to pop up in the shot of Mileena from behind at the beginning, and of Jax standing amongst what looks like the wreckage of a former war.

For the hell-fires of NetherRealm, this is where Hanzo Hasashi becomes Scorpion, rescued - in the established canon - by the sorcerer Quan Chi to do his bidding, all while getting revenge on Sub-Zero.

We see what looks like Hanzo rising up as Scorpion for the first time, before being given his mask, but is the person he's looking at Quan Chi??
