7. Jason (Slasher)

Balancing guest characters from other already-existing franchises in beat 'em ups is never easy. Unlike the vast roster of native characters that NetherRealm can drastically alter as they please, creative freedom is (and probably always will be) far more restricted for intellectual property that doesn't belong to them. How tightly the studio had their hands tied when developing Jason is unclear, but its certainly crystal how overpowered the final product is. Despite the ability to resurrect that comes with his other variant, its Slasher that pushes Jason far beyond the acceptable levels of cheese and cheapness. Supercharged special attacks not only grant Jason armour (i.e. he can't be knocked out of the attack), but they have stupidly huge hit boxes that can catch you from almost any point on the screen. Oh, and if you think you can play it safe at just keep Jason out at long range, nah - he can just zone you out by repeatedly hurling his machete at you that has almost zero recovery between uses.
