Mortal Kombat X: 10 Shocking Character Omissions That Must Return
9. Baraka
The fang-toothed legend himself, Baraka made his next-gen debut in all his snarling glory in MK X... as an enemy-only battle in the campaign. Thing is, precisely because of his moveset and animations being adapted to new hardware, fans assumed he'd be next on the list for DLC in Kombat Pack 1. Nope, we got Tanya and Tremor, Predator and Jason Voorhees instead. Woohoo for the latter two, but where are the decent additions to the in-world roster? Baraka's insanely grotesque mush just screams "Mortal Kombat!" in its visual clout about as much as Sub-Zero's mask or Scorpion's "GET OVER HERE!" soundbite do in their iconography. His brutal twin blades have made for some brilliantly inventive fatalities in the past, and his omission in MK X is just baffling - especially since PC modders continue to make him playable, albeit without fatalities or a full moves list.
