9. The 27 Song Soundtrack By Pharrell Williams
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm660vIn8Tg&list=PLBjEBPVHyxbhyMeUTG33j2D79C1kbHYBc Having the right kind of music during a basketball video game is important and like usual, NBA 2K15 does it right. This year's soundtrack was chosen by artist/producer Pharrell Williams. The listing of the tracks shows an eclectic mix of current hip hop including three Pharrell songs, hip hop from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg to name a few. In addition to that, there are other big name rock artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys and The Strokes that have tracks on there. It's also cool to see the No Doubt song "Spiderwebs" listed because that was their first big break nearly twenty years ago. The cool thing about NBA 2K games is you can go into the presentation menu and turn off the announcers if you get sick of them. When you play the game hundreds of times you definitely can get tired of hearing the same things all the time. You can turn the commentators off, put the soundtrack on and listen to music while you play some ball. It's just like playing on the playground in that sense. Last year the soundtrack was chosen by cover athlete LeBron James. It was a great mix of hip-hop, rock and pop music. This year looks to be no different.
