NBA 2K15: 10 Things You Need To Know

4. It's Consistently Better Than The NBA Live Series

Any basketball gaming fan knows that Electronic Arts was the best company in terms of creating basketball games for a long time. From the Lakers vs. Celtics series on PC's 1989 to the NBA Live series that dominated the market in the 1990s, they put a great product out there. When 2K came along in 1999 and made a name for themselves in the 2000s, they blew the NBA Live series out of the water. In fact, the NBA Live series was even discontinued after the 2010 season. It was brought back last year and returns this year, but the reviews of last year's game wasn't favorable at all. The website Metacritic.com compiles reviews from gaming sites. For the PS4, they compiled 20 reviews for NBA 2K14 last season and 25 reviews for NBA Live 14. The average score for NBA 2K14 was 85/100, which is excellent. For NBA Live 14 it was a 43/100, which is brutal. What was even worse was that users rated it only a 2.7 out of 10. That just shows that gamers were very upset with what EA Sports put out there. Basketball fans that play video games want authenticity. In terms of being a truly authentic NBA experience, the NBA 2K series absolutely destroys everything that NBA Live does. It's not really close. Their graphics are better, the gameplay is vastly superior, the presentation of the game looks cooler and everything about it is true to the actual NBA game that fans love so much. It's pretty simple. If you want to play an NBA video game you need to get NBA 2K15. It's always the best. The new features this year have added to an already captivating series that always finds a way to keep topping itself. It can be argued that it's the best sports series out there too although that's all up to the individual based on what sport they like the best too.
