Team relocation is one of the most controversial aspects of American sports, yet one which occurs every few seasons in one of the 'big four' sporting leagues: the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL. Although fans of the now-defunct Seattle Supersonics or Vancouver Grizzlies may balk at the idea of such a feature, one which took their beloved NBA teams away to Oklahoma and Memphis respectively, it does remain a crucial part of major USA sports. In MyGM mode, players will be able to propose a move to the owners of their team, but will have to achieve certain goals in order to persuade them to do so (perhaps winning a certain amount of matches, or signing a big-name star). They will then be given a dazzling array of customisable options, including the new city itself, the stadium location (in the suburbs, downtown, etc.), the arena design, team name and branding. The effects of the team's relocation will be felt across the NBA, which will actually realign its geographical divisions in realistic fashion to reflect a move.
