MyCareer mode has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, with the inclusion of press conferences, conversational options, endorsement deals, and voice-acting from a selection of real NBA players. It's far from perfect, however (have you heard how bored James Harden sounds?). Your player's journey would be immensely improved by a greater emphasis upon seasons two, three, and beyond. Too often have fans complained about going through their rookie season, enjoying all the initial attention and exciting scenarios, and then experiencing a notable drop-off in terms of immersion once entering sophomore year. The same storylines are rehashed, press conferences become repetitive, and teammates still occasionally refer to you as "rook". A minor (but highly criticised) problem is also the lack of ability to choose an alternative jersey before each game, for mysterious reasons.
