NBA 2K17: 8 Most Frustrating Things In MyGM
1. Inability To Trade For Superstars
Some trades are impossible to recreate in NBA 2K. For example, the Carmelo Anthony-to-the-Knicks move, which casued 13 players to change teams. Good luck recreating that in the game.
This is really frustrating, because it works the other way round - your superstar may be used to acquire two or three lesser players. You can trade a player like Chris Bosh or DeMarcus Cousins for a top pick, but you will not get a top-tier superstar for the same pick. The best players I got for a top-five pick were Kevin Love and Kemba Walker. Both are great, but they are not top-ten level talent.
You're also unable to create a convincing enough package to get James Harden or Russell Westbrook, as according to the game a player over 90 is worth more than two over 80 players and a pick. Granted, not many GMs would part with their franchise players, but trades like this happen in the real NBA, so why not here?
