6. Boston Celtics
Despite coming up short in the Eastern Conference finals last year, the Celtics still had an impressive year and were the one team who looked capable of knocking Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers off their perch in the East.
This summer has seen the Celtics be able to bear the fruits of their labour from the famous Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett trade with the Nets in 2013. They have managed to sign free agent Gordon Hayward from the Utah Jazz, while also picking up the exciting Jason Tatum with the number three pick in the draft.
The biggest news out of Boston was the acquisition of all-star guard Kyrie Irving. Sending Isaiah Thomas, two role players, and crucially, the pick for this year’s draft obtained from the Nets, the Celtics have gotten themselves a genuine superstar to take them to the next level.
The Celtics should be one of the top teams to play with in 2K18, with Al Horford joining Irving, Hayward, Tatum, and exciting youngster Jaylen Brown to create a point laden line-up.
