Why it makes sense:
Ryan Anderson seems to be a better fit for the Timberwolves than both Dieng or Gibson. Both are strong, rather defensive-minded players, but in today's NBA spacing is more important than size. At power forward, Anderson is a B-rated rebounder, which isn't that bad, however his A- in three point shooting is what makes him a must-have for a team like Timberwolves.
Black is not bad as a reserve center as well, since he's a very strong player with A-rated rebounding. He should fill the void left by Dieng rather nicely.
