Out of all the teams in the NBA, the Sacramento Kings are surprisingly one of the more veteran teams, having been originally founded in 1923 as the Rochester Seagrams. As the squad have proven, though, the more experience you have doesn't always result in more accolades.
While they did win the 1951 NBA World Championship Series, the Sacramento team have essentially been declining since the early 2000s. It must be stated that they have had brief moments of success since this period, such as Tyreke Evans' initial start with the team in the 2009/10 season, they've failed to achieve anything of real note.
The shock discovery that the team's former chief revenue officer Jeff David had been involved in a $13.4 million embezzlement further rocked the Kings, even if it didn't directly relate to their on-court performance. Add in the fact they've failed to make the playoffs in nearly twenty seasons, and, like the Atlanta Hawks, you can begin to question why they're rated at 75 in this year's game.
They have to make some big changes to their squad in the upcoming draft if they hope to make an impact in the next NBA season.
