To say the Houston Rockets have had serious star power over the years would be a severe understatement, seeing as they've previously played host to Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, Yao Ming, and currently, James Harden, all of whom have done wonders under the Rockets banner. It's because of players like these that the Houston team have been one of the teams to keep your eye on time after time.
Focusing on Harden, he began with the Houston Rockets in 2012, and has since become a franchise player for them. An eight-time NBA All-Star and the 2018 Most Valuable Player, James has been a complete dream for the Rockets since departing Oklahoma City Thunder. This past season saw him become the second-highest scorer in Rockets history, behind only Olajuwon.
While they did technically drop from 76 to 75 between NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K21, that's not to say the team have dropped in quality in any way whatsoever. If anything, they've improved, thanks in part to the addition of Harden's ex-Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook.
It's been confirmed that head coach Mike D'Antoni won't be returning for the next season, so perhaps this is an opportunity for the Rockets to rebuild in order to reach the finals next time around, and increase that all so important rating.
