The only Canadian squad in the NBA, the Toronto Raptors have went through their ups and downs over the years. Vince Carter, Chris Bosh, DeMar DeRozan, and Kyle Lowry have all been major players for the Raptors during their respective eras, but we can't simply overlook the team's struggles.
It's as if the Toronto team are always unable to keep up the same quality of basketball whenever one of their star players leaves the roster. For example, the departure of Carter led to a long period of problems for the Raptors, failing to really end until Bosh came along.
The signing of Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green during the 2018/19 season worked its magic for the Raptors, even if they did lose DeRozan in the process, as they came victorious in the 2019 finals.
While that level of success didn't stick around for the following season, partly due to Leonard leaving for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Canadian squad did still manage to make the playoffs. The season would also see Pascal Siakam elevated to All-Star level, something that helped the Raptors be ranked so high.
Like with a handful of the teams on this list, they may have dropped in terms of overall rating, but the determination to improve remains.
