Instead they were one of the worst teams in 2013/4 and Smith one of the worst players, especially given his salary and NBA2K14 rating. In Atlanta, Smith was able to compete with the best at small or power forward. At Detroit he failed to galvanize an already sub par team, instead becoming part of the tarnished furniture. At 28, Smith is entering the prime of his career. Theres still plenty of time to bounce back from last years awful outing. However without a supporting cast, a repeat of last year may well be on the cards. Theres always baseball Detroit fans.
