Netflix's Castlevania Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen
1. The Redemption Of The Belmont Name
As fans of the game series know, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse served as a prequel to the original Castlevania (as well as other games in the series, some retroactively), showing how Count Dracula was slain by Trevor Belmont before his eventual revival.
Fans also know that this is how Trevor managed to undo the excommunication of the Belmont clan and restore honor to his family name which, in turn, helps set the other games in motion.
This pseudo-conclusion to Trevor's story will be necessary in the Netflix series, preferably in season two, because it will lay the groundwork for the series to move forward. For instance, just a few years after Castlevania III concludes, Curse of Darkness takes place, which serves as a continuation of Trevor and Dracula's story.
Plus, if they're willing to go the timeskip route, the show could also cover Christopher Belmont's adventures, not to mention Simon Belmont's from the two original games. Not only that, but on Alucard's side of things, Symphony of the Night is a distinct possibility too (especially since the show's art style is based off of Ayami Kojima's art for that game.)
The return to prominence of the Belmont clan is a move that has the potential to turn Netflix's Castlevania into a true long-form juggernaut of a series, and season two seems like as good a time as any to take that step.
